Miranda Crane delivers a wide variety of poems in her debut compilation, with everything from sonnets to free verse and haikus. Having drawn inspiration from her own life and the stories of those around her, Crane is able to explore a range of familiar feelings through multiple lenses; nature, history, urban life, and even food. As one reads though the poems, readers will likely feel a sense of kindred understanding with each other and the world. Because Crane's poems serve to remind that, no matter how vast and unflappable it may seem on the good days, even the sky shakes every once in a while.
