Sweet and funny, Humorous Verse for Parents is a wryly observed collection of sharply drawn anecdotes. This delightfully entertaining poetry gift book is a must-read for parents new or experienced. Light-hearted in style but heart-felt, HV4P is a touching anthology that does not paint parenting as an ongoing horror story or, like the dreaded parenting manual, hint at the perfect life you could have if only you were a better parent. Humorous Verse for Parents simply serves up the realities; exhausting and exhilarating, funny, fabulous and weird, that sum up life as a parent - plus a bonus short story. A perfect book for sharing, a handy gift size (5.5"x8.5" {approx 14x22 cm}) and just 70 pages in a readable attractive format, even a tired parent can manage it. The author, Amanda Baker has made best use of her experience as a mother, grandmother, poet, author, comedy writer and performer to create this neat, unique little offering.
