Shove Blade Entry Tool

Shove blades, also referred to as "Slim-Jims", are designed to bypass door latches from either side of a door. They work specifically on key-in-knob style latches.

If the door opens inward (away from you), simply shove the thin, flexible blade in back of the molding stop and push or slide the blade to retract the latch. If the door opens outward (toward you), you slip the knife in from above or below the latch point and jiggle and pull to hook and retract the latch. This tool is ideal for use by emergency and first responder personnel to assist in evacuations and non-destructive entry of residential or office doors.

The shove blade features a rubberized non-slip grip and three notches for attacking various types of common door latches.
