All children know about the monsters. The ones under the bed, in the closet, hiding beneath the stairs... All just waiting to jump out and attack.Children do not know of their protectors, the ones who fight the monsters, who keep the children safe, until they are no longer needed. Sometimes, that lasts a lot longer than physical childhood. In a tale that combines that fantasy and nostagia of childhood with the more mature outlook of adult life, The Protector is a book that will leave you longing for more.
