Allegheny Petit is a wild and wicked woman, who loves to party. Her reputation has made her unmarriageable, at least in her hometown. Her father arranges a marriage for her with the son of his old army buddy. Jackson Parker is a hermit living in the lonely mountains of Tennessee, who wants a wife without having to go through the rituals of courtship. He's known far and wide for his violent temper. Could two such mismatched people ever love each other, especially when they do unspeakable things to each other? And can two such terrible sinners ever find redemption?
