The purpose for smooth transition is having the next generation in mind. This is to pass on the torch to the next generation. The best way to do that is to train the leadership for the next generation today to understand and demonstrate exactly what is done. In this way, there would be minimal risk to having serious leadership issues. They need to be able to understand the vision and what is involved in leading effectively to do better than the previous generations.
