Sandler's luminous poetry speaks to her generation of Baby Boomers, a demographic often overlooked in contemporary writing. In massive numbers they face the prospects of loss-of youth, of self, of loved ones, of the planet, and particularly of time-as their era of idealism writes its final chapters. Yet she finds that each loss is a portal to discovery and often expresses this through elements she observes with a keen eye in the natural world. Her poetry has been published in numerous literary journals in the United States and abroad, and she has multiple books available on Amazon.com.A graduate of the University of Michigan, Sandler has lived in San Diego for over forty years and is a wife, mother, grandmother, and dog lover, as well as a docent and historian at the San Diego Botanic Garden.
